Item Selection
All Items

Includes all items with the Planning Method of MRP in the MRP run. When you select this radio button, the application does not display selected items in the table below.

Note Note

For a parent item of a bill of materials (BOM), all the child items in the BOM chain are included in the MRP run, regardless of their Planning Method attributes. The only exception is disassembly BOMs, for which the MRP does not calculate child items.

End of the note.
Selected Items

Includes selected items in the MRP run.

To do so, proceed as follows:

  1. To select items, choose the Add Items button.

Selected items are then displayed in the table below.

    Note Note

You can select only those items with a Planning Method of MRP for the MRP run.

If you select a parent item of a bill of materials (BOM), all the child items in the BOM chain are included in the MRP run, regardless of their Planning Method attributes. The only exception is for disassembly production orders, for which the MRP does not calculate the child items in the BOM structure.

    End of the note.
  2. To sort selected items, double-click the grid column headers.

  3. To remove an item from the table, right-click the item entry and choose Delete Row.

  4. To remove all the items displayed in the table, choose the Remove Items button.

  5. By default, the application selects the checkbox for all items you added to the list. You can deselect or select the checkboxes using the Select/Deselect All button or by manual selection.

Note Note

If you have added an item and then deselected it in an MRP run, the next time you run this scenario, you can still see the item displayed in the table, deselected. This way you can include this item in the MRP run by selecting it.

If you removed this item from an MRP run, the next time you run this scenario, you are not able to view it in the selected items table. If you want to include it in the MRP run, you have to add it again.

End of the note.
Add Items

Opens the Items List — Selection Criteria window. You can filter items by item number, item group, and item properties.

Remove Items

Removes all the items selected and displayed in the table.

Select/Deselect All

Select or deselect all the items displayed in the table.

Update Selected Items

Opens a window that lets you update the following MRP planning parameters:

  • Procurement method

  • Order Interval

  • Order Multiple

  • Minimum order quantity

  • Lead time

The updated value applies to all the items involved in the current scenario and MRP run. Your change here does not affect the item-specific definition on the Item Master Data: Planning Data Tab.

Save Scenario

Saves the MRP scenario at the current stage.

Available only when you add a new scenario or update an existing one.

Note Note

You cannot save an MRP scenario if it is a simulation.
