This example illustrates how to allocate two amounts from an accounting document to two cost centers as follows: amount 1 to cost center CC1, and amount 2 to cost center CC2.
You have defined cost centers CC1 and CC2 in
.You have prepared the relevant accounting document, but have not yet added it to the database.
If you did not select the Use Multidimensions checkbox on the Cost Accounting tab of the General Settings window under
, in the Distr. Rule field of the row with amount 1/amount 2, specify distribution rule CC1/CC2.If you selected the Use Multidimensions checkbox, do the following:
If you selected the In a Unified Column radio button, then in the Distr. Rule field of the row with amount 1/amount 2, specify distribution rule CC1/CC2 for the required dimension.
If you selected the In Separate Columns radio button, then in the XXX field (XXX is the description of the required dimension) of the row with amount 1/amount 2, specify distribution rule CC1/CC2.
Note
SAP Business One automatically creates distribution rules CC1 and CC2 once you create cost centers CC1 and CC2.
When you add the document to the database, amount 1 is allocated to cost center CC1, and amount 2 is allocated to cost center CC2.
