Use this tab to enter general information about a task.

To view the fields for tasks, choose   Business Partners   Activity,   and select Task as the activity.

Remarks

Shortly, describe the task.

Start Time

Specify the date and time for the start of the task. By default, the system date and time are displayed.

When you define an activity as a recurring activity, the date of the Start Time and the value in the Repeat on section are interdependent.

End Time

Specify the date and time for the conclusion of the task. By default, the end time is set to fifteen minutes past the start time.

When you define the activity as a recurring activity, the starting date is determined by the value you select in the Repeat on field.

Recurrence

Used for setting recurring activities. It is only available for Phone Call, Meeting, or Task.

The default value is None that stands for non-recurring activities. Select from the dropdown list to define the frequency of the recurring activity. You can define a daily, weekly, monthly, or annually activity.

Repeat Every

Use it to define the frequency for the recurring activity. It is only available for Phone Call, Meeting, or Task, when the value of Recurrence is not None.

  • For daily activities, to schedule the activity on every working day, select the radio button Every Weekday. Alternatively,

    1. Select the first radio button.

    2. Specify the daily frequency. The value should be a number between 1 and 6.

  • For weekly, monthly, or annually activities, specify the frequency that the activity takes place. The value should be a number between 1 and 4.

    • For weekly activities, specify a number between 1 and 4.

    • For monthly activities, specify a number between 1 and 12.

    • For annually activities, specify a number between 1 and 10.

Repeat on

Use it to define the date when the activity recurs. It is only available for Phone Call, Meeting, or Task, when the value of Recurrence is not None.

  • For weekly activities, select the days when the activity recurs. You can select multiple days.

  • For monthly activities, select from the two radio buttons to define the date when the activity recurs. The value of the first radio button cannot exceed the number of days of the month specified in the Start Time field above.

  • For annual activities, select from the two radio buttons to define the date when the activity recurs.

Note Note

For the second dropdown list of the second radio button for both monthly and annual activities, the ranges of weekdays and weekends are decided by the values specified in the Weekend From ... To ... field in the Holiday Dates window. For more information, see Holiday Dates Window.

Range

Use it to define the range for the recurring activity. It is only available for Phone Call, Meeting, or Task, when the value of Recurrence is not None.

Select from the three radio buttons and specify the end date for the activity. You can:

  • Leave the end date open.

  • End the activity after certain occurrences.

  • End the activity by a certain date.

    Specify the date in the mm/dd/yy format.

Reminder

Select to display a reminder in the Messages/Alert Overview window prior to the time set for the meeting.

Specify the reminder in minutes or hours. To specify hours, type the number of hours followed by the letter H.

The reminder is displayed according to the settings on the Services tab in   Administration   System Initialization   General Settings  .

When you assign an activity to an employee, the Reminder checkbox is not available.

Inactive

Inactivates the activity and removes it from your calendar. You can still update and reactivate it.

Closed

Closes the activity.

Caution Caution

You cannot reopen or modify a closed activity.
