Use

In this Web application, you can search for resources or create a new resource.

You navigate to this view, by choosing Portfolio Management Administration Resources.

Features

Search for the Resource

To search for a resource, a full text search is provided:

·        Enter information in any combination of the fields.

·        Wild card characters are permitted in all fields.

·        Dependent on your choice in the Based onfield, different search fields are shown.

These are standard fields: 

Field

Explanation

Resource ID

Number attributed to the resource when the resource is created.

Last Name

Last name of the resource

First Name

First name of the resource

Click Search to display the list of resources matching the specified criteria. 

      Specifying “*” in any one field, with all other fields blank displays a complete list of resources.

      It is not permitted to leave all fields blank.

From the table of search results you may carry out the following:

Create a new resource

Click Create New.

Mass Update

Select the resources and click Mass Update to update all selected entries in a single tabular format.

Sort

You can sort the resource list by columns. Click the column heading to sort the list in ascending order. Click again to sort in descending order.

Filter

The first row is for filtering the list. Enter a string of characters to filter the resource(s) containing the string. Enter search strings in multiple columns to narrow the search results. Special characters are not permitted.

To work with an existing resource

Click the name of the resource in the displayed list. The name is the link to the Resource Overview.

Scroll

The triangles at the bottom of the displayed list facilitate scrolling. The three triangles pointing down help scroll down one row at a time, one page at a time and to the last page, respectively. The three triangles pointing up perform the same function for scrolling upwards.

Export to Excel

Export to Excel (right top corner above the list)

Here you can export list of select collections to Microsoft Excel.

       1.      Select the items from the list

       2.      Click Export to Microsoft Excel to access the Export view.

       3.      Click TableData.xls.

Select the Resources

The first column of each row has a checkbox which is used for selecting the resource in that row.

      To select a single resource from a list, click the corresponding checkbox.

      To select multiple resources, hold down the CTRL key and click the checkboxes corresponding to the resources.

      To select a block of resources, hold down the SHIFT key and check the first and last resource of the block.
