Staffing Project Roles with Resources 

Use

Once you have found a suitable resource for your project and the resource has agreed to participate in the project, you can staff the project role with the resource.

To allow you more flexibility in the assignment, you can staff project roles with resources at various places in the application.

Prerequisites

You are in one of the following tab pages of the Projects → Resources initial view:

·        Staffing, in the Select Resource group box

·        Staffing, in the Candidates group box

·        In the Search Result in the Resource Search

Procedure

Staffing a project role with a resource in the Resource Assignments tab page

...

       1.      In the project role overview in the screen area on the left, select the project role that you want to staff with a resource.

       2.      In the Select Resource group box, search for the required resource.

It is displayed in the Search Result field.

       3.      Choose Staff.

       4.      Save your data.

Staffing a project role with a resource from the Candidates

...

       1.      In the project role overview in the screen area on the left, select the project role that you want to staff with a resource.

       2.      Select the required resource.

       3.      Choose Staff.

       4.      Save your data.

Assigning a resource from the list of search results

...

       1.      In the project role overview in the screen area on the left, select the project role that you want to staff with a resource.

       2.      Select the required resource.

       3.      Choose Staff Project Role.

       4.      Save your data.

Result

The resources are displayed in the project role overview in the screen area on the right, in parentheses after the project role that they are staffing.
