Release Note for the Business Package for PPMDC 4.0 SP3 

This version of the Business Package for Projects, Portfolio Management, and Design Collaboration (PPMDC) contains several new features and enhancements.

These new features are summarized below. For full details, see the relevant sections of the documentation.

New Features in SAP xRPM 4.0 SP03

Teams

Under Administration, you can now create and maintain teams for a portfolio.

The Team Dashboard iView allows you to:

·        Display a list of all existing teams

·        Navigate to the details of an existing team

·        Create a new team

·        Delete one or more existing teams

The Team Details iView allows you to:

●     View or edit the details of an existing team

●     Specify the details of a new team

●     Add or remove members to a team

●     Specify one or more members of the team as lead

Item Versions

For a portfolio item, you can now display the version history and maintain version details.

The Version History iView allows you to:

●     Display the list of versions that have been created for the current portfolio item

●     Navigate to Version Details by clicking on a version on the list

●     Personalize the configuration by using the Personalize function

●     Export a version to Microsoft Excel by using the Export to Microsoft Excel function

The Version Details iView allows you to:

●     Create a new version of a portfolio item

●     Modify an existing version of a portfolio item

●     Create a batch job to produce versions of all the portfolio items in a given bucket

Attachment Migration Tool

When upgrading from SAP xRPM 2.0 to SAP xRPM 4.0, you can now also migrate attachments that you have created. To do this, you use the attachment migration tool. For more information, see the Upgrade Master Guide for SAP xRPM 4.0.

Enhanced Features in SAP xRPM 4.0 SP03

Financial Planning

The iViews Financial Planning and Financial Planning: Category Groups have been changed:

●     The radio buttons Forecasted, Planned, and Actual have been replaced by the radio buttons Financial Categories and Financial Views.

●     The Periods field has been replaced by the Time Line field.

●     The Search function has been replaced by the First Column Sorting function and various navigation functions.

●     A chart view has been added.

Note that optional view settings are available for the administrator for Financial Planning and Capacity Planning.

Capacity Planning

The iViews Capacity Planning and Capacity Planning: Category Groups have been changed:

Enhanced Bucket Selection

You can use enhanced bucket selection to select a portfolio bucket as a parent for the object on which you are currently working. Depending on the object context, you can also choose the parent portfolio for your current object.

You use enhanced bucket selection when performing the following actions:

●     Creating a new bucket

●     Creating a new item/collection

●     Creating a review

●     Selecting a bucket for a resource

Resource Pools

Under Administration → Resource Pools, the Resource Pool Details iView now allows you to:

●     Add resources to a resource pool by adding teams

Business Partner

The term Business Partner has been replaced by Resource.
