Project Integration Microsoft Project Download 

Use

With this Web application, you can download project data from the current item to a Microsoft Project file.

To navigate to this iView, choose Portfolio Management → Portfolio Management → Item Dashboard. Select an item and then click the Upload/Download Project Data in the navigation panel. This opens the Upload/Download Project Data iView.

Activities

To download data from Microsoft Project, you do the following:

       1.      You select the Download to Project radio button.

       2.      You select Microsoft Project from the drop down list in the Application field.

       3.      You fill in the other fields as follows:

Field	Status	Explanation
Last Update	System Generated	Displays the date on which this data was last updated.  Initially, this is blank.
Updated by	System Generated	Displays the user who updated the data. Initially this is blank.

       4.      You click Download to start downloading. The system downloads the current item to a Microsoft Project file.

       5.      If the ActiveX control is not installed on the client machine, then the system asks for confirmation for installing the ActiveX control. You select yes and follow the installation steps.

       6.      To make the download permanent, you click Save Download. A Save As dialog box appears, where you can specify the path and file name for the downloaded file.

History Log

The system maintains a log of uploads and download. The table displays the log name the system has generated and the date of the download. You may select the log entry and click Delete to remove the log entry. This does not affect that data which has been downloaded.

Downloading can be repeated as desired.
