Download
Use
With this Web application, you can download project data from the current item to a Microsoft Project file on the Microsoft Project Server.
To navigate to this iView, choose Portfolio Management → Portfolio Management → Item Dashboard. Select an item and then click the Upload/Download Project Data in the navigation panel. This opens the Upload/Download Project Data iView.

Activities
To download data to Microsoft Project server 2003 file, you do the following:

1. You select the Download to Project radio button.
2. You select Microsoft Project Server 2003 from the drop down list against the Application field.
3. You fill in the other fields as follows:

4. You click Download and Save to start downloading. The system downloads the specified file and displays the results. The system makes the download permanent and creates a history log.
Project data can be downloaded only once per item provided it has not already been uploaded.
History Log
The system maintains a log of uploads and download is maintained. The table displays the log number the system has generated and the date of the download. You may select the log entry and click Delete to remove the log entry. This does not affect that data which has been downloaded.
Select Template
When you have clicked the binocular icon in the Select a Project Template field, the system displays the Object Links Search view for the object type for Microsoft Project Server 2003.
To search for a template, a full text search is available.
- Search for the projects under a project manager. Wild card search is not permitted.
- Click Search to display the projects for the project manager in the table below.
- Click on the box to the left of the template, from the displayed list, to identify the template.
- Click Done to select the template.
