This iView allows you to perform upload or download of project data in integration with the following application:
· Microsoft Project Client
To navigate to this iView, choose Portfolio Management → Item Dashboard. Select an item and then click the Upload/Download Project Data in the navigation panel. In the Upload/Download Project Data view, select Microsoft Project in the Application field.
On selecting the application apart from Microsoft Project Client, this iView navigates to upload/download project data. On click of the link to the linked project, this iView shows the respective project (.mpp) file.
You can do the following:
● Upload data from (many times):
¡ Microsoft Project Client
● Download data to (many times):
¡ Microsoft Project Client
● Open the linked project.
● Navigate to upload/download project data if the project is not already linked (uploaded/downloaded) to any application.
● You can select the Upload from Project or Download to Project indicator.
● You can select an application. If you choose apart from Microsoft Project Client then the navigation goes to the upload/download project data.
● Then you can select the desired project file (upload) by searching for it.
● You can set the indicator to Upload from Project to upload the desired data.
● Then you can upload in simulation. Or, you can click Download to get and view the data.
● Once the simulation succeeds then you can upload in real mode. Or, once the data is fetched, then you can click Download to save the downloaded data.
● If the upload/download succeeds then a log will be written and will be shown in the table.
● You can select a log to see the details and also delete a log if he/she doesn’t want to.
Microsoft Project Professional version greater than or equal to 2002 should be installed on the client machine.
