Object documentationTender Setup: Back Out Tax

Use the Back Out Tax tab settings to define and modify the back out taxes for a tender. When a tender with back out taxes is used, the tax is charged and will be returned to the customer. The back out tax amount is calculated on the tender amount.

If a non-zero Itemizer ID is specified in Tender Maintenance: General, all back out taxes and the Calculate Back Out Tax On Tender Amount parameter are automatically deselected. Also, the entire Tender Maintenance: Back Out Tax window is disabled. For more information about the Itemizer ID, see Tender Setup: General.

Note Note

  • If you enable Reissue Tenders, you cannot use back out taxes

  • Back Out Tax is not applicable for tender refunds

  • Back out taxes are not suitable for food stamps tenders.
