Electronic Funds Transfer via EFT User Exit (Stand-Beside Terminals)
There is a user exit which provides an interface for EFT devices on the POS. This capability allows for third-party providers to interface a retailer's EFT PIN pad device for credit, and debit into SAP POS. This enables the solution to work with different service providers and EFT devices around the globe without requiring changes to the core code.
Process
The stand-beside EFT terminal or middleware communicates directly with financial institutions. The EFT devices or middleware are precertified with the financial institutions. Target countries include Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
