Restricting Registers to Departments

You use this procedure to configure registers with specified terminal types. Registers are then restricted to only sell items belonging to particular departments as defined in the SALEREST.ASC file. This file is generated in the format below and applied in the Xpress Server parm folder.

Procedure

Define terminal types in the Define Terminal settings in the POS using the manager code 6.
In the Configurator application, enable the Item Sale Restriction By Register option in the Register Parameters: General tab page of the Register Parameters Maintenance screen.
