Choose POS Language at Sign On
The SAP POS language feature allows an employee to change the language of the POS display when they sign on. The setting for this is located in the Employee Maintenance
screen or System Settings
screen in the Configurator application,
and the Employee Maintenance
screen in the Store Manager application. When you activate the option that allows an employee to change the language setting of their system, the language choices available are those for which a formal translation exists.
Note
The preferred language setting and the option to choose a language at signon affect only the interface that the employee sees. Any customer-facing interfaces such as the customer display, peripheral equipment such as the electronic signature capture device, printed media, TLog, or database data remain in the default language of the store. Additionally, any information captured at the POS or the Store Manager applications, or any defined policies remain in the main language of the store.
