The maximum retail price (MRP) is now displayed for items at the point-of-sale (POS) client application. The MRP feature can impact price lookups (PLU), and the selling and returning of items.
MRP is a retailing concept that protects customers from being charged a higher price, or any additional charges when they purchase certain items. It is common in some markets such as India, where the manufacturer ships the merchandise to the store with the final retail price of the item (including all taxes) printed on the package. The number of prices available for an item in its PLU record, as well as on the maximum number configured to display on the screen determines the list of MRPs for the item. The cashier selects the price from this list that matches the one on the item package.
The following new configuration parameters are available in the Configurator application:
Enable MRP pricing
available through the tab
Maximum Number of MRP Prices Displayed

Disable Message When MRP Prices Not Available

The PLU Management Maintenance
screen in the Store Manager application provides a new tab called MRP
