Use the External Component Maintenance screen to:

  • Define and activate the loyalty program as an external component

  • Enable the SAP Suggested Sell 1.0 component for the Suggested Selling feature

  • Enable the GS1 DataBar barcode type component

  • Enable the GS1 US Coupon barcode type component

To configure the Allegiance component, you must define the loyalty program as an external component and then set options to control its behavior.

The GS1DataBar barcode allows for typed information to be embedded in the barcode. For example, a GS1 DataBar can include a product code, a weight, a price, an expiry date, a serial number, and so on.

The GS1 US Coupon is a coupon type that can be embedded in a GS1 DataBar barcode. It greatly enhances couponing capabilities by allowing the POS to validate multiple items, issue discounts using amounts not found in the preset table as with older coupons, and allows the validating of a manufacturer code of up to 12 digits.

Select one of the following options:

  • Allegiance

The system automatically populates the Component ID and Component Prod fields with the required information.

  • SAP GS1 DataBar 1.0: This component allows for additional information to be embedded in this type of barcode.

  • SAP GS1 DataBar Coupon 1.0: This component must be installed after the SAP GS1 DataBar 1.0 component or the Coupon component will not work.

Component ID

This is the internal component ID; the system automatically populates this field when you select the Component Name

Component Prod

This is the component product; the system automatically populates this field when you select the Component Name
