Object documentationAuthorization Modem

The Authorization Modem parameters allow you to configure settings for your modem.

There are two categories of modems that you can configure:

  • Authorization modems: Automatically dial out to credit agencies for transaction authorization.

  • Head office polling modems: Convey information between the POS terminal and Head Office.

Both types of modem require the same type of set up information. You create settings for the authorization modem by specifying values for each of the following parameters.

Note Note

If these options are not set up during installation of the Configurator application at your location, you must contact Support for assistance in setting them up.

End of the note.
