A return is a retail transaction in which a customer returns purchased merchandise to the store in exchange for another item or to receive a refund.

 

You use the Return Allowances settings to define authorization levels for the return transaction by entering a value for each level. Authorization levels are based on the return amount value. You can configure up to six different return allowance levels.

Indicates the amount after which an override is required to proceed with the return transaction

Supervisor Key Required

Forces the POS to prompt for a supervisor key to complete the return transaction

Password Required

Forces the POS to prompt for a password from whoever is signed on to the system

How to use the Return Allowances Settings

For each required level, type a maximum level amount. When this level is reached in the transaction, a warning message appears to indicate that the return amount is greater than the maximum set amount and an override is required. You can set the override to require a supervisor key or a password.
