After you define the loyalty program as an external component, you must set options for the Allegiance component, and indicate if the POS acts as a kiosk. See External Components for more information.

Specifies that the POS terminal performing the Allegiance transaction should behave as a kiosk

Note Note

When this option is not enabled, the system does not convey any points' status information to the customer during the transaction. Therefore it is not necessary to define any printing or display parameters. The customer purchase is still tracked by the system in the Allegiance database.

Number of Blank Lines Between Messages

Specifies the number of blank lines to insert between messages when more than one message is printed

The receipt, journal, validation, and slip printer options specify where the POS should print the customer message. You can select one, more than one, or all.

Discount

This option is used internally by the application for technical purposes. It indicates that PLU items that qualify for an Allegiance simple discount are put in memory by the system only when they are sold. When this setting is disabled, the entire list of eligible PLU items is put into the TLIST.

The recommended setting is enabled.

Multi-Item, Single Product

This option is used internally by the application for technical purposes. It indicates that PLU items that qualify for an Allegiance Multi-Item, Single Product discount are put in memory by the system only when they are sold. When this setting is disabled, the entire list of eligible PLU items is put into the TLIST.

The recommended setting is enabled.

Multi-Item, Multi-Product

This option is used internally by the application for technical purposes. It indicates that PLU items that qualify for an Allegiance Multi-Item, Multi-Product discount are put in memory by the system only when they are sold. When this setting is disabled, the entire list of eligible PLU items is put into the TLIST.

The recommended setting is enabled.
