A loyalty program awards points to customers for purchases they make at your store. Configurator provides parameters that allow you to configure a loyalty program according to your business needs.

You set up the overall loyalty program and define how the system grants basic program points and any additional points, such as bonus points.

Specifies a unique number to identify the loyalty definition

Threshold Amount

Specifies the minimum purchase amount at which loyalty points tracking begins; select the Threshold Amount radio button and enter the purchase threshold

Threshold Quantity

Specifies the minimum number of units of an item required for loyalty tracking; select the Threshold Quantity radio button and enter the quantity threshold

Points Per Threshold

Specifies the number of points the system awards for each defined multiple of either the amount or quantity

Max Points Per Transaction

Specifies the maximum number of points a customer can earn per transaction

Tracking Program ID

Identifies the tracking program ID, which can contain the main loyalty definition and one or more bonus loyalty definitions

Bonus Program

Select the checkbox to indicate this definition is a loyalty bonus plan

User Comment

You use this option to identify other loyalty definitions with different ID numbers related to this loyalty definition

Allow Point Adjustment

Select the checkbox to indicate that the cashier can activate the manager code to initiate a points adjustment transaction at the POS (manager code 702). The default setting for this option is unselected.

Print Policy ID

Provides options to print a message on the customer receipt regarding loyalty program information.

Loyalty program information can contain such information as the previous points balance, points earned for the current transaction, the ending balance points, a loyalty description, the customer's loyalty identification, and loyalty redemption information. You can also show the rewards the customer is eligible for based on their current points balance. For more information about setting up a print policy, see Policy: General.

Print On Receipt

Select the checkbox to print the customer's starting point count retrieved from the customer information

Print On Customer Display

Select the checkbox to display the customer's starting point count retrieved from the customer information

Print Available Points

Select the checkbox to display point adjustments and balances

Level Threshold

The points threshold at which customers are eligible for the level discount

Discount ID

If you have set the Level Threshold, this is the ID of the discount the system applies if the customer meets the Level Threshold during a transaction

Level Printing Flag

If you have set the Level Threshold, this defines the type of point balance message the system displays and prints:

  • 0 – Print default message, that is do not print special message

  • 1 – Print condition level messages

Print points as dollars/cents

Select the checkbox to display points within a policy as a monetary value based on the Point Value conversion rate

Point Value

If you have set Print points as dollars/cents, this option specifies the monetary value of 1 point
