These options allow you to define the structure of the reference number when it is printed on the receipt or tender.

Description

Print Character In Reference #

Allows you to determine how the auto generate reference number is printed. You can have up to 10 number blocks within the reference number; each block on a separate line and defined by the number of digits specified. You can also specify special characters to print between the blocks within the auto generate reference number. The special characters are not included in the length when you calculate the position.

Example

The following elements make up Your Store Credit auto generate reference number:

  • Store number – 3 digits

  • Sequence number – 5 digits

  • Amount – 6 digits

You want to print a dash (-) after the first block of the reference number, a plus (+) after the second block and an asterisk (*) after the remaining block. You make the following entries:
