This new feature allows the POS to omit the printing of the detail lines for a linked item when only the main (parent) line needs to be printed. This feature is defined at the item level since some linked items need to print out the item details. Detail items still need to affect inventory and be included in the TLOG and Journal files. This only impacts the receipt printing.
Effects on Configuration
If you choose to omit printing the detail lines for a linked item chain wide, select Link Items
from the PLU
tab of the Configurator, then deselect the Receipt Print
checkbox from the appropriate PLU
on the PLU Link Item Maintenance
window.
If you choose to omit printing the detail lines for a linked item for an individual store only, select Link Items
from PLU Management
in Store Manager, then deselect the Receipt Print
checkbox from
the appropriate PLU.
