The function of the POS.ini
is similar to that of the parameters in the Configurator application; it gives you a way to change the functionality of the POS and the Store Manager applications. Each of the options in the POS.ini
control a function in the application. Therefore, when you change a POS.ini
option value, you change the functionality.
You must first create the POS.ini
file. To do this, copy the entire POSSAMP.ini
file and save it as POS.ini
. Make any required changes in the new POS.ini
file.
The POSSAMP.ini
is the master file of options that can be used in the POS.ini
to change functionality in the POS application. Although POSSAMP.ini
contains all the master options, functionality is changed through the POS.ini
. The options in the POSSAMP.ini
file should never be changed. You should copy the options you need from the POSSAMP.ini
file and paste them in the POS.ini
or another backup file.
Note
To reduce the size of the POS.ini
file you should delete any options that you are not using. Later, if you decide to use an option that you deleted, you can easily put the option back in by copying it from the POSSAMP.ini
file.
