To apply the appropriate taxes to an item, you must configure a tax group in the Configurator that lists all the taxes that apply to the item and specify that profile when the PLU item is defined. You can create a tax group for an item by selecting all the taxes that should be applied to it during a sale.

Recall items are correlated to tax groups, which usually span several tax authorities. If tax is owed to other authorities, these amounts must still be collected.
