To define different conditions or restrictions for payment transactions and that are relevant to the enrichment and validation process and the clearing and settlement process, you can manage service level agreements (SLAs) as follows:

  • Display an existing SLA

  • Create a new SLA of any type (clearing area, customer segment, or customer)

  • Change an existing SLA

  • Delete an SLA

Note Note

These features are also available by means of Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs). You can use the corresponding BAPIs to create, change, or delete one or more SLAs without the graphical user interface.

End of the note.

    End of the note.
  2. Enter additional information about the intended purpose of the SLA, such as additional locks, affected customer accounts, or transactions types.

  3. Save the object and trigger the release process by choosing the Release pushbutton.

End of the note.
Displaying, Changing, and Deleting a Service Level Agreement
  1. From the navigation tree, double-click the SLA you want to display, change, or delete.

All details and settings for the SLA are displayed on different tab pages. The tab pages that are available depend on the type of SLA that you display.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Change an SLA:

      1. In change mode, change the additional information about the intended purpose of the SLA.

      2. Save the object and trigger the release process by choosing the Release pushbutton.

    • Delete an SLA by choosing Delete (Delete) on the SLA Identification tab page.

The SLA is removed from the navigation tree but remains in the Payment Engine database where it is set to Flagged for Deletion when the archiving process takes place.

For more information, see Archiving (FS-PE-ARC).

Result

When you change an SLA, the system performs formal checks on the SLA such as accuracy checks of the IBAN or account numbers or the consistency of the selected filters (transaction types, payment order types). If the checks are successful, the SLA is saved and stored with the status Release In Process.
