The system determines one of the following processing modes:

• E- Execution mode

  Determined if the Payment Engine reconciliation settlement date is the same as the planned processing date of the payment order and the submission date is earlier than the planned processing date.

• S- Submission mode

  Determined if the planned processing date is later than the reconciliation settlement date and the submission date is earlier than the planned processing date.

  This mode is used for payment orders with a planned processing date in the future. When this mode is determined, the payment order retains status 117 (E & V completed) until its planned processing date is reached.

• X- Execution/ Submission mode

  Determined if the planned processing date of the payment order is the same as the reconciliation settlement date or if the planned processing date is earlier than the reconciliation settlement date.
