Certificates (SQL Anywhere)Locate this document in the navigation structure

SQL Anywhere (v16.0 and higher) supports X.509 certificates for transport-layer security. PowerDesigner models certificates as extended objects with a stereotype of <<Certificate>>.

Creating a Certificate

You can create a certificate in any of the following ways:

  • Select Start of the navigation path Model Next navigation step Certificates End of the navigation path to access the List of Certificates, and click the Add a Row tool.

  • Right-click the model (or a package) in the Browser, and select Start of the navigation path New Next navigation step Certificate End of the navigation path.

Certificate Properties

You can modify an object's properties from its property sheet. To open a certificate property sheet, double-click its diagram symbol or its Browser entry in the Certificates folder.

The following extended attributes are available on the General tab:

Name

Description

Type

Specifies the type of the certificate, which can be a string, variable, or file.

Scripting name: CertificateSourceType

Certificate

Specifies the source of the certificate.

Scripting name: CertificateSource
