Domains (CDM/LDM/PDM)Locate this document in the navigation structure

Domains allow you to group together a data type, length, precision, mandatoriness, check parameters, and business rules to standardize their application to a set of columns and entity attributes. You can define domains for columns of type ID, name, address, or any other kind of data whose use you want to standarize across multiples columns or attributes in your model.

    Creating a Domain
    You can create a domain from the Browser or Model menu.
    Domain Properties
    To view or edit a domain's properties, double-click its Browser or list entry. The property sheet tabs and fields listed here are those available by default, before any customization of the interface by you or an administrator.
    Controlling Non-Divergence from a Domain
    You can specify which of the properties of your domains must be applied to the columns or entity attributes associated with the domain, and which propeties are permitted to diverge.
