The configuration overview contains the following views of the objects of a configuration scenario.

  • A table overview of the assigned configuration objects

The view displays the connections (between a sender and a receiver) configured by the configuration scenario in the rows of the table.

  • A graphic overview of the assigned configuration objects

Configuration Overview Table

The sender and receiver and connection type are displayed for each connection in the Table tab page.

The connection type specifies which type of communication takes place between the sender and receiver.

  • Enhanced: Communication using the Integration Server or communication using the Advanced Adapter Engine.

  • Direct: Direct communication between the sender and receiver.

When you open a row, the outbound interface is shown for the sender and likewise the inbound interface for the receiver of the communication.

If you highlight a row (with interfaces), the objects relevant for configuring the selected connection are shown in the right-hand frame (under Objects for Selected Connection). You can navigate to the configuration objects by double-clicking.

To add a further configured connection, you can call the configuration assistant (menu function on the Table tab page).

For more information, see: Configuring Individual Connections

Note Note

If you have changed the configuration scenario for which the configuration overview is displayed, you must save the configuration scenario first. Only then can you refresh the configuration overview by choosing Refresh ().

End of the note.
Configuration Overview Graphic

All communication components that communicate with each other in the process, as well as connections between those communication components, are displayed in a graphic overview on the Graphic tab page.

Caution Caution

The graphical overview does not include any receiver determinations in which the sender communication component was defined generically (using the Wildcard character *).

Receiver communication components determined by using a condition from the payload are also not included.

End of the caution.

If you click on a connection arrow, the objects relevant for configuring the selected connection are shown in the right-hand frame (under Objects for Selected Connection). You can navigate to the configuration object by double-clicking.

The relevant outbound and inbound interfaces and the connection type are shown in the lower area of the tab page.

There are different functions available in the graphical overview toolbar to adjust the layout (such as zoom functions) or to print the graphic.

In addition, you can refresh the graphic.

Note Note

This function is particularly helpful if you change one of the receiver determinations assigned to the configuration scenario (for example, by adding a configured receiver), choose this function to refresh the graphical overview.

If you assign additional receiver determinations to the configuration scenario, for example, or remove existing receiver determinations from the configuration scenario, the graphical overview is updated automatically. In this case, you do not need to refresh the overview manually.

End of the note.
