A communication component enables you to address a sender or receiver of messages.

Procedure

Create Communication Component

Depending on how you want to use the communication component, you can define one of the following communication component types.

  • If you want to create a communication component for a business system from the System Landscape Directory (SLD), choose the Business System menu option.

    In the wizard, select a business system from the SLD and create a communication component for it in the Integration Directory.

  • To create a communication component for an integration process from the Enterprise Services Repository (ESR), choose the Integration Process menu option.

    In the wizard, select an integration process from the ESR and create a communication component for it in the Integration Directory.

  • To create a business component, choose the Business Component menu option.

    A business component is usually used in business-to-business processes.
