You can specify multiple combinations of receivers and conditions.

Procedure

Follow these steps.

1. Enter New Combination of Receivers and Conditions
  • To insert a new combination of receivers and conditions, proceed as follows: In the Configured Receiver frame, choose the arrow beside Insert Line After Selection and choose the Insert Condition menu option.

  • To add a receiver to an existing condition, proceed as follows: Select the line with the relevant condition and in the Configured Receiver frame, choose the arrow beside Insert Line After Selection ([PICT]) and choose the Insert Receiver menu option.

2. Enter Receiver Party and Receiver Communication Component

You have the following options for entering receiver parties or receiver communication components or both.

  • If you want to specify a fixed target value for parties or communication components, select the relevant party or communication component using input help ().

  • If you want to define that parties or communication components be determined from the message payload, proceed as follows:

    1. Select the arrow beside the input help icon.

    2. Choose Advanced.

    3. The party editor for communication parties or expression editor for communication components is opened.

    For more information, see:

    Using Party Editors

    Using the Expression Editor

3. Define and Insert Condition

To define a condition, in the Condition column in the new table line, call the condition editor (using input help).

In the condition editor, you can select an element from the message payload and specify a value with which the value of this element is to be compared at runtime.

Caution Caution

Unlike a receiver determination, you define a receiver rule independently of an outbound interface. Therefore, it is of no use to display the structure of a corresponding outbound message in a receiver rule. The specification of expressions using XPath is therefore not supported during the definition of conditions in receiver rules. You can only access the content of a message by using context objects. If a required context object is not available, you must create it in the Enterprise Services Repository.

For more information, see: Context Objects

End of the caution.
