You specify the following attributes in a sender agreement, receiver agreement, or a direct connection that was assigned a communication channel with adapter type WS (current version, software component version 7.11).
Note
These attributes are also displayed for other attributes of the sender agreement, receiver agreement, or direct connection under Adapter-Specific Attributes.
The other attributes are, on the other hand, described in the documentation for the sender agreement, receiver agreement, or direct connection.
In addition you can specify the same adapter-specific attributes in a sender agreement, receiver agreement, or direct connection. Essentially, some attributes do depend on the configuration of the assigned communication channel.
Here you specify whether the message ID is to be transferred or not.
If the message ID is to be transferred, you can select one of the following logs for transferring the message ID:
WS-A Message ID 1.0
Uses standard WS-A for Web service addressing.
More information: http://www.w3.org/Submission/ws-addressing/
SAP Message ID
Uses SAP-own log for Web services addressing.
These settings refer to the HTTP proxy that the Web service consumer uses to establish a connection with the Web service provider.
These fields are only displayed if the assigned receiver channel was configured for non-local calls.
You can specify the following attributes:
Host Name
Service name
User ID and password
Specifies the user name and password with which the Web service consumer is logged on at the Web service provider.
Under Maximum Wait Time of a Web Service Client you can set the maximum time that the Web service consumer should wait for a reply for before it reports a timeout.
For scenarios where communication is based on the Web services runtime, the service provider is automatically sent statistical information about all service consumers that call it. The transfer of this data is always activated, but you can configure the scope of data that is to be transferred to the provider in the service call statistics.
In the direct connection, you define the scope of consumer data that is to be transferred to the service provider.
Note
To ensure the appropriate input fields are displayed, the direct connection must be assigned a communication channel with adapter type XI or WS in version 7.11 .
You can choose between the following values for the scope of data:
Minimal Data Transfer
Elementary Data Transfer
Enhanced Data Transfer
The default setting for the scope of data is Minimal Data Transfer.
You can also define a particular protocol for data transfer.

The following attributes depend on the communication security or authentication method that is set in the assigned communication channel.
Communication Channel-Dependent Attributes
Setting in Assigned Channel |
Adapter-Specific Attribute |
---|---|
User ID/Password (Transport Channel Authentication) or: User ID/Password (Authentication at Message Level) |
Authentication User name and user password for authentication at Web service provider. |
X.509 SSL Client Certificate (Authentication at Transport Level) |
X.509 SSL Client PSE: Specifies the certificate that is only to be used for SSL client authentication with the web service call. To execute a user authentication with this certificate, a certificate user mapping must exist in the provider system. More information: Configuring the AS ABAP to use Client Certificates Configuring the Use of Client Certificates for Authentication |
Communication Security: Asymmetrical Message Signature/Encryption or: Symmetrical Message Signature/Encryption |
Encryption certificate in PSE WSSCRT: Specifies the certificate that is to be used to encrypt the web service call. |
Communication Security: Asymmetrical Message Signature/Encryption |
Signature PSE - Signing key: Specifies the private key to be used to sign the message. If the Web service provider is expecting a certificate authentication then the corresponding certificate is also used for the authentication. In this case there must be a certificate user mapping. The source of the input help for the PSEs orients itself according to whether you configure a sender agreement, receiver agreement, or direct connection.
Receiver agreement PSE of the Integration Server system
Sender agreement: PSE of the sender system
Direct connection: PSE of the sender system
