The QOUT Scheduler processes qRFC outbound queues and controls the sending of qRFC calls.

You can monitor and administer the QOUT Scheduler using transaction SMQS.

Features

  • Queues are processed across all applications using the application server group Default.

    Note Note

The default server group includes all application servers available in the system. The outbound queues can by processed here by any application server in the system. If you want to restrict the use of the application server, you can change the server group accordingly.

    End of the note.
  • An RFC destination is registered automatically in the QOUT Scheduler if it is one of the following:

    • A destination for an external program (type T in transaction SM59)

    • A destination for another SAP system (type 3 in transaction SM59) and the logon data (client, user, password, language) has been defined completely in transaction SM59

Activities

You can perform the following actions for a destination:

  • Registration: The QOUT Scheduler processes all tRFC/qRFC messages that use this destination.

  • Deregister: None of the tRFC/qRFC messages that use this destination are processed (used for debugging).

  • Exclude: None of the tRFC/qRFC messages that use this destination are processed by the QOUT Scheduler.

  • Monitor and, if required, restart blocked queues.

    Note Note

You can use transaction SMQ1 to start the qRFC Monitor for the outbound queue; this transaction includes additional monitoring functions.

    End of the note.
