Changing the Startup Mode for the SAML Service 

Use

To use SAML for integrating SAP NetWeaver in SSO environments, you must change the startup mode of the AS Java SAML service.

You can use this section to configure the automatic start of the SAML service of the AS Java server processes. If you have an installation with multiple server nodes, ensure that the SAML service is started on all nodes consistently.

Procedure

       1.      Start the Config tool of the AS Java.

       2.      Switch to expert mode by choosing View → Expert Mode.

       3.      Navigate to cluster-data → template-<template_name>.

       4.      Choose the Filters tab.

       5.      In Custom rules add the following properties to change the start-up mode of the SAML service:

Component Name Mask	tc~sec~saml~service

 

       6.      Save the configuration changes and restart the cluster.

Result

The SAML service starts automatically on system restart.
