You use software component versions to group your development objects. Within a software component version, you group your objects by namespaces. You identify an object uniquely in the Enterprise Services Repository by specifying a software component version and a namespace. Software component versions and namespaces are the prerequisite for creating and editing objects in the Enterprise Services Repository.
