Customizing the Launchpad URL

You can make the launchpad available under a custom URL by creating an external alias.

Procedure

On the front-end server, start transaction SICF.
Select hierarchy type SERVICE, then choose .
Choose External Aliases.
Select a host, then choose External Alias Create .
In the External Alias field, enter the alias under which you want the launchpad to be available.

Enter an alias of your choice, for example:

/fiori
On the Trg Element tab, select the following target handler:

/sap/bc/ui2/flp

After doing the configuration as shown in the example above, you can launch the launchpad using a nice and short URL like this:

<protocol>://<host>:<port>/fiori/
