Working with Profile ConfigurationsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

You can save profile configurations – an ABAP program name and ABAP Profiler settings – so that you can quickly and easily re-run the ABAP Profiler with predefined settings.

Here is how to work with profile configurations for ABAP Trace.

Procedure

  1. Start the configuration dialog from the editor or from the Project Explorer by choosing Start of the navigation path Profile As Next navigation step Profile Configurations End of the navigation path (Ctrl + Shift + F9).
  2. ABAP Development Tools presents the Profile Configurations dialog. In the Explorer tree on the left, you can create a new run configuration or edit an existing run configuration.
  3. On the Main tab, specify the ABAP program that is to be traced and the ABAP project (system and client) in which the trace is to be made.
  4. On the Tracing tab, you can set Profiler options.

See Understanding ABAP Profiler Settings for a description of the Profiler options.
