Assigning Server LocationsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You need to assign a location to a server with an installed content/cache server.

Prerequisites

You must already have defined at least one location. More information: Defining Locations.

Procedure

To assign locations to servers, proceed as follows:

  1. Call transaction SI24 and choose Start of the navigation path Settings in the Knowledge Warehouse Next navigation step Distribution Next navigation step Assign Hosts to Locations End of the navigation path (or transaction SCMSHO).

  2. Choose New Entries.

  3. In the Host name field, enter the name of a server that is to be used as the SAP content server for a particular location.

  4. For the Location field, select the relevant value and enter a short description (for example, Content server for location Philadelphia).

  5. Save your entries.
