Overwriting Global FiltersLocate this document in the navigation structure

A reusable filter is a global object that cannot be changed in the context of a query. You can make a local object from a global filter however.

Procedure

  1. If you want to make changes to the filter in the context of your query, choose Dereference from the context menu.
The system creates a copy of the filter.
  2. Enter a new description.
  3. Make the required changes to the filter.

Results

You have used the global filter as the basis for a local filter. You can use this local filter in the context of your query, but not in other queries.
