SAP Business Suite Backend SystemLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites
Make sure that the following system prerequisites are fulfilled:
  • If your SAP Business Suite backend system is based on an SAP NetWeaver release lower than 7.40, you should install the additional software component IW_BEP 200. If your SAP Business Suite backend system is based on SAP NetWeaver 7.4 or higher, the component SAP_GWFND 740 is installed as standard and includes the functional scope of IW_BEP.
    Note The examples used in this cookbook are based on an SAP Business Suite backend system running on an SAP NetWeaver release lower than 7.40.
  • With respect to Configuration Settings, you need to set up a trusted RFC connection from your SAP Gateway hub system to your backend system. For more information, see Connection Settings: SAP Gateway to Consumer
  • You have set up a dedicated development user in your backend system.
  • You have to creat the corresponding roles with the correct development role templates and authorizations. For more information see User, Developer and Administrator Authorizations
