Generating the Conversion Program.Locate this document in the navigation structure

Use

This function is used to generate the program that performs the conversion of data. In addition, you can use it to locate syntax errors in the conversion program. The name of the conversion program is /1CADMC/SAP_LSMW_CONV_OBJN (objn = ID of the sequential number).

Note

When you perform the data conversion, the conversion program is generated automatically, if necessary.

Prerequisites

The list of steps is displayed. The field mapping must have been completed, and the conversion rules must have been defined.

Activities

Choose Generate Conversion Program.

  • If the conversion program can be generated syntactically correct, a corresponding system message is issued.

  • If the conversion program contains a syntax error, the system branches to the ABAP Editor where you can perform a syntax check and locate the error. After this, you correct the error in the field assignments.
