Authorizations

The authorization check distinguishes between:

• Raw version maintenance

  This authorization allows users to create and maintain documents with the raw version status throughout the system, that is, in all development classes.

• Maintenance in active version

  This authorization allows users to create and maintain documents in active version for a specified development class or for a selection of development classes. It includes the authorization for maintaining documentation in the raw version.

These authorizations are assigned to the user via profiles which are entered by the system administrator into the user master record.
