Notification Channel Secure Data StoreLocate this document in the navigation structure

The Notification Channel framework offers the capability to encrypt and store certain data fragments that are used to compose the final text of notifications.

Note

When developing a notification provider, the implementation has to explicitly indicate that those values "Parameters" need to be treated as sensitive.

Process
The process of activating sensitive data cahing, the following configuration steps are required:

  1. Registering our application ID IWNGW1 in the SSF framework (Secure Store and Forward)

  2. After registering the PSE files which carry the settings regarding encryption strength and algorithm need to be created in transaction STRUST.

  3. Enabling "Sensitive data caching on the Hub" with transaction /IWNGW/H_CACHE_DATA, which is also available through the SAP Implementation Guide IMG under Start of the navigation path SAP Customizing Implementation Guide Next navigation step SAP NetWeaver Next navigation step  Notification Channel Next navigation step  Notification Channel Hub End of the navigation path.
