Creating the Key Figure for Stock CoverageLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You have already created the key figures for stock and demand.

Procedure

  1. You are in the Data Warehousing Workbench. Proceed as follows: Creating InfoObjects: Key Figure
  2. On the Type/Unit tab, set the Stock Coverage flag. You now see an additional tab called Stock Coverage. On the Type/Unit tab, a fixed unit can now be specified.
  3. On the Aggregation tab, specify a time characterstic that specifies the granularity of the stock coverage. This characteristic also serves as the reference characteristic for the exception aggregation. An exception aggregation must always be specified for key figures for stock coverage.
  4. On the Stock Coverage tab
    • , specify a referenced key figure for the stock. This can be either a non-cumulative key figure or a cumulative key figure

    • a referenced key figure for the demand.

    • the maximum number of time periods that are taken into account. The more time periods are specified here, the more runtime will be affected.

  5. Decide whether the referenced key figure for the stock is an opening stock or a closing stock.
  6. Save and activate the key figure.

Results

You can use this key figure in InfoProviders. The stock coverage will then be calculated in queries that contain this key figure.
