SCF Configuration
Purpose
This section describes the process of configuring SCF so that it can connect Collaboration users to the various types of SCF services.
Upon installation of Collaboration for SAP Enterprise Portal, synchronous collaboration services are not activated. You must activate the service types before they can be used.
SAP ships the following Synchronous Collaboration (SC) service providers:
- SAP RTC, which provides service type application sharing.
- WebEx, which provides WebEx online meeting services. For more information regarding WebEx services, see http://www.webex.com/.
SAP delivers SCF with default configuration parameters.
When a new SCF connector for a service type is loaded into the portal, the system automatically creates configuration parameters for that connector. However, you need to activate the new service type.
The following two steps must be performed:
- Modify service providers.

Configuration
To configure the Synchronous Collaboration service providers and service types, do the following:
- Choose System Administration → System Configuration →Collaboration → Synchronous Collaboration Services.
- Under Service Registry select a link to perform the configuration activity required.
