Purpose

The table below contains prerequisites for implementing the transport for Lotus Domino connectivity.

You need to fulfill all the prerequisites listed in the table. If you have not done so, refer to the information in the Comments column and proceed accordingly.

You have configured the J2EE engine with the appropriate proxy settings for accessing the HTTP service on the Domino server.

You are running Lotus Domino versions 5.0.12 - 7.x

You have activated 'Unrestricted Java Access' for the following:

  • For all portal Domino users on the Domino server if using Ticket Verifier for SSO.
  • Only for server ID if the Ticket Verifier is not used for SSO.

Refer to the Lotus Domino administrator manual for further information.

This prerequisite is required for attachment functionality in scheduling/the calendar.

You have provided 'Restricted Java Access' for all portal Domino users.

Refer to the Lotus Domino administrator manual for further information.

This is a prerequisite for running the servlet functionality in scheduling/the calendar.

The e-mail address is maintained in the user profile in the portal and in the Person Document of the Domino Address Book.

After authentication with the Lotus Domino server, the e-mail address is used to identify the database of the user in question.
