 Integrating User Photo Maintenance (Self-Service) in the Portal MenuLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

To allow portal users to upload their own photographs to the portal, you must make available the corresponding iView for User Photograph Maintenance in the portal. This iView is on the com.sap.netweaver.coll.ChangePhotoSelfService page.

In the standard SAP system, this page is delivered for user photograph maintenance with the Collaboration demo role. Users that this role is assigned to can launch the page by choosing the path Collaboration Demo → People-Centric →User Photo Maintenance (Self-Service).

To make user photo maintenance available to all portal users, you should include the Personalize page in the portal menu (recommendation). The procedure is described below.

Prerequisites

The Content Administration portal role is assigned to your user.

Procedure
  1. In the portal, choose Content Administration → Portal Content.
  2. In the portal catalog, open the initial entry folder Portal Content and choose Content Provided by SAP → End User Content → Standard Portal Users:

    The Standard User Role is assigned to the Standard Portal User role.

  3. In the context menu for the Standard User Role, choose Open → Object.
  4. In the hierarchy of portal objects that are assigned to the Standard User Role, select the Portal Personalization structure node.
  5. In the portal catalog, find the pages for the Collaboration demo role under: Content Provided by SAP → Collaboration → Demo Role → Pages.

    The Pages folder contains the User Photo Maintenance (Self-Service) page.

  6. In the context menu for the User Photo Maintenance (Self-Service) page, choose the option Add Page to Role → Delta Link.

    The system inserts the User Photo Maintenance (Self-Service) page in the hierarchy of portal objects for the Standard User Role below Portal Personalization.

  7. Close the editor for the Standard User Role portal object.
Result

When you choose Personalize, the page for personalizing your portal appears. The detailed navigation for this page now also contains the User Photo Maintenance (Self-Service) link.
