Providing Information In the Event of Problems Accessing RoomsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can provide information pages for situations in which users cannot access a room. SAP defines the IDs of the information pages that are displayed in the event of specific problems.

You can create the information pages required and include iViews with information on the pages. You can use the information page to provide information and also to prevent unauthorized access.

Procedure
  1. In the portal, choose Content Administration → Portal Content.
  2. Below Portal Content, choose New → Page in the context menu for the folder of your choice.
  3. Enter the data for the new page. In Page ID, enter the predefined ID that corresponds to the problem:
    Problem Page ID

    Room is locked

    portal_content/com.sap.ip.collaboration/ RoomNavigation/RoomLocked

Link is invalid (for example, because the room or room part has been deleted)

    portal_content/com.sap.ip.collaboration/ RoomNavigation/TargetNotValid

User is not a room member (for example, if a user wants to launch a page in the PCD that does not belong to one of his or her rooms)

    portal_content/com.sap.ip.collaboration/ RoomNavigation/NoMember

Not a room link (for example, if changes are made and as a result a link points to an object that does not belong to a room)

    portal_content/com.sap.ip.collaboration/ RoomNavigation/NoRoomRelatedNavigation

    Room cannot be found

    portal_content/com.sap.ip.collaboration/ RoomNavigation/RoomNotFound

  4. Create an iView and provide the information required in it.

For example, you can copy a news iView for this purpose and enter the information as a news item.

  5. Assign the iView to the page.
