Using SSF with an External Security Product

Installing an external security product, such as SAP Single Sign-On, enables you to support secure store and forward on SAP NetWeaver Application Server (SAP NetWeaver AS).

1. Install the external product and configure SSF on each of the front-end computers

   On the front ends, specify the SSF parameter values either in environment variables or in the SSF initialization file ssfrfc.ini.

2. Install the external product and configure SSF on each of the application servers.

   On the application servers, use either profile parameters or environment variables.

3. Maintain the user SSF information.
4. Test the SSF installation.
