For evaluating non-cumulative key figures, you can usually use the corresponding Business Content. See Installing Business Content.
To find out which Business Content objects are delivered, see Inventory Management (
). In particular, seeThe material movements InfoCube (0IC_C03)
The material stocks InfoSource (from 3.1 Content) (2LIS_03_BX), material movements InfoSource (2LIS_03_BF) and revaluations InfoSource (2LIS_03_UM), and their DataSources.
If you want to model your own objects, proceed as follows:
Source System
There are two extraction modes for non-cumulatives in the source system. The DataSources for non-cumulatives have to support one of these extraction modes.
Modeling:
Determine how you want to evaluate the non-cumulative key figure. If you only want to evaluate the non-cumulative or the non-cumulative changes as well as the non-cumulative using a particular time period, choose modeling as a non-cumulative key figure with non-cumulative changes. If you also want to evaluate the inflows and outflows separately, choose modeling as a non-cumulative key figure with inflows and outflows.
Key figure definition:
The non-cumulative change or inflows and outflows that you require for the definition of the non-cumulative key figure must already be created as InfoObjects when the non-cumulative key figure is created. Where necessary therefore, define either the non-cumulative change or the inflow and outflow as normal cumulative key figures first. In type definition, these key figures must correspond to the non-cumulative key figures that still have to be defined. The non-cumulative changes or inflows and outflows must have the aggregation and exception aggregation type 'Summation'.
Define the non-cumulative key figure by assigning to it the previously defined non-cumulative change or in and outflows.
Choose the exception aggregation you want to use. Standard aggregation is always summation.
If you transfer the non-cumulative value into the InfoCube, the respective cumulative values (non-cumulative change or in- and outflows) are automatically included in the definition of the InfoCube.
See the SAP Notes for defining validity tables. It is not normally necessary to include additional validity-determining characteristics in the validity table.
If you want to load an initial non-cumulative, load this first and then load the non-cumulative changes.
If a non-cumulative change is updated when loading data for the first time, no further initial non-cumulative can be loaded for this characteristic value.
When loading data, the validity areas for the individual validity-defining characteristic values are automatically updated.
Query definition:
In the InfoProvider, both the non-cumulative key figure and the non-cumulative change, or inflows and outflows, can be selected for query definition.
With evaluations in reporting, there is no difference in the way cumulative and non-cumulative values are handled. Cumulative and non-cumulative key figures can be evaluated at the same time in a query, since the key figures are automatically aggregated correctly.
