-m|-modify

This BRARCHIVE command option applies the offline redo log files to a standby database.

-m|-modify [<delay>]
         

Default value: no delay

delay: another BRARCHIVE process running on the primary database host sends the created offline redo log files to the standby database before they are processed. There they can be applied with a delay time of <delay> minutes after Oracle has created the offline redo log file.

If there is a standby database, you must call brarchive -m to apply the offline redo log files.
